The next is an accessibility statement from Finder.
Measures to support accessibility
Finder takes the next measures to guarantee accessibility:
- Include accessibility as part of our mission statement
- Include accessibility throughout our internal policies
- Assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities
- Use formal accessibility quality assurance techniques
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
Finder is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Extra accessibility considerations
Although the goal is WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance, I have also applied some Level AAA Success Criteria:
- Text has a contrast ratio of 7:1 for “regular” sized text and at least 4.5:1 for large scale text, unless the text is purely decorative.
